Welcome to the Technology and Industrial Relations Office
At the Technology and Industrial Relations Office, we recognize the pivotal role that collaboration between universities and industry plays in driving economic growth, particularly in Iran. A robust partnership between academia and industry is essential for translating knowledge into practical applications, and our office is dedicated to fostering these vital connections.
Established within the School of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering at the Iran University of Science and Technology—the nation’s first School of Engineering—our office aims to strengthen ties with various industries. Our primary mission is to advance knowledge and innovative technologies for diverse sectors while cultivating relationships with factories and leading engineering companies relevant to our students’ fields of study. Our work focuses on the production and transfer of technologies, innovations, and applied knowledge.
One of our key objectives at the Iran University of Science and Technology is to align research and educational activities with the fundamental needs of the country. The School of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, given its unique position and close collaboration with industry, plays a critical role in this endeavor. Engaging with industry allows us to identify real-world challenges and steer projects, dissertations, and publications towards addressing the pressing issues facing our nation. This relationship also opens doors for valuable industrial experiences, providing students with internships and opportunities to visit factories.
Conversely, industry benefits from a more scientific approach to problem-solving, enhancing productivity and profitability across Iran’s manufacturing sectors. Ultimately, our commitment to fostering these connections contributes to the overall improvement of the country’s production landscape.
We invite you to explore our initiatives and learn more about how we are bridging the gap between academia and industry for a prosperous future.
